Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection released yesterday in the West and Japan was supposed to as well but Capcom announced that it will be delayed to sometime in Fall 2018.
Previously it was delayed from a Spring 2018 window to TBD after Capcom decided to address fan demand. If you’re wondering what that’s about, we previously reported that fans in Japan were upset to hear that the titles would be based on the overseas versions, which meant that it would have English titles, voicing, and text.
In a new message on the official website, longtime Street Fighter producer Tomoaki Ayano shared that they’re aiming for a Fall 2018 release for the delayed Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection International, as it is called in Japan.
He added, “We apologize for the trouble this may have caused to those of you who were looking forward to it, but please wait a little longer for additional new information besides the release period.” So it sounds like they’ll be making some of the changes as requested by Japanese fans.
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is now available in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’ll release in Japan in Fall 2018.
