Level-5 announced that the new update to the Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road beta test will include the Story Mode. For this update, the story mode will feature only the first chapter of the game, adapted for the demo version.
The first chapter of the Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Story Mode is titled “You Still Have Football,” and will introduce the new protagonist Destin Billows. It is currently unknown if more chapters of the Story Mode will appear with future updates. The beta test demo update is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch.
Aside from the inclusion of the Story Mode, the new Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road update adds the Player Guidebook and Scene Archives to the main menu, a Match History screen for Competition Mode, and a Block List among others. Additionally, the new update improved online matchmaking and a penalty system for repeated improper disconnects, a “Concede” option during matches. The update also makes it so that instances of lag during online play have been reduced.
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, mobile devices, and PC via Steam. The game is expected to release in 2024 worldwide, and the beta test demo is now available on the Nintendo Switch.
