Sting gets into the International Edition business with Baroque

Earlier this year Sting released Baroque for the Wii. On October 28 it’s coming out for the PlayStation 2… again. Sting will release Baroque International which has English voice acting and Japanese subtitles. The only other difference is the first person mode. This feature is in Atlus’ version of Baroque so you aren’t missing anything by skipping Baroque International.

This isn’t the first time Sting released revised for North America games in Japan. Riviera for the PSP was resold as a Special Edition with the added dungeon designed for the US build. Since there isn’t any content we don’t already have I wouldn’t jump on importing either of these, but each 3,990 yen ($37) copy of Baroque can’t hurt Sting. Also I take this as a good sign that Sting will license more of their games to North American publishers like Atlus. They can make money through licensing and selling US versions of their games in Japan. Now to wait for a Knights in the Nightmare announcement from Atlus…
