Sega are publishing Stella Glow in Japan, and they recently held a livestream to showcase all of the game’s features, including another look at the key characters and battle demonstration for the strategy RPG. (Thanks, Perfectly Nintendo)

The video starts out with an opening trailer and an introduction to some of the key characters of Stella Glow, followed by some gameplay footage at the 1:11 mark, where it shows how you’ll set your party up and take on the strategic battlefield.

Attacking position, elemental attribute, and elevation will play a role in how much damage you dish out or take, as some of the things you’ll need to consider. At 2:00, the video shows us some of the Song Magic of Stella Glow. There are over 20 different Song Magic tracks that are sung by various popular voice actresses.

Next, we see more on the bonding “Sync System,” where you increase parameters by having conversations or spending time with other characters, which can be done to learn “Sync Skills” that are used in combat. Then, at the 3:13 mark, they show a little bit on the Orb system, which lets you slot Orbs into weapons for special skills, and can be customized to make a weapon with the skills of your preference.

The following part shows how you’ll acquire Song Magic, and it won’t be an easy task. In order to obtain it, you’ll need to dive inside the hearts of one of the witches, and take out a beast from within. After defeating the main beast, you’ll get her Song Magic, and can even awaken her goddess form.

Finally, you can get another look at the game in action starting at the 11:45 mark of the video, to get a good idea on how the battles are like. One of the main focuses for Stella Glow’s battle system was to give it a nice tempo, and not feel slow, which is demonstrated in the footage.

Stella Glow will release in Japan on June 4, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS, and will release later this year in North America.
