Nintendo have a new submarine game coming to the Nintendo 3DS this March, and it’s been in development for a long time. The concept for Steel Diver was originally at E3 six years ago on the Nintendo DS.

Submarines in Steel Diver are carefully controlled using the 3DS touchscreen. You’ll be required to operate levers and switches on the 3DS’s bottom screen to control the subs’ speed, depth, pitch and torpedoes.

We went hands-on with Steel Diver at E3 2010, and you can read our brief impressions of the game at the event. There’s also a varied batch of screenshots to give you an idea of what Steel Diver looks like on the Nintendo 3DS.
