Get ready to gather some friends (responsibly), as The Jackbox Party Pack 7 has a release date. Jackbox Games took to Twitter to confirm it will appear on October 15, 2020. It says it will appear on “major platforms” that day. Considering the PC version is assured and Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions tend to appear, people can probably expect to see it on all four.
The main draw in this collection is the newest Quiplash. Quiplash 3 will be a part of the collection and ask between 3-8 players to come up with responses for prompts. The one people likes most gets more points, with the winner being the person with the most points.
There are four new games in this collection. The new drawing game is Champ’d Up, again for 3-8 people. It seems a bit like Tee K.O., in that you draw something and it is named, then it fights against another creation for a title until only one is left. Blather Round is the 2-6 player game where you try to have someone guess what your prompt is. Talking Points has 3-8 people trying to give a speech about random slides. The winner is the one who people find most coherent. Finally, The Devils and the Details lets 3-8 people work together trying to have devils live normal lives.
As a reminder, The Jackbox Party Pack recent releases all support streaming. Other people can join in by playing on a smart device or PC, and you can have an audience of people watching while you play. There are also options that allow you to alter timers in the event you are streaming, to account for possible delays.
