stardew valley concurrent players 1 5 update

Stardew Valley set a new record in 2021. When sharing patch 1.5.2 notes, Eric “Concerned Ape” Barone announced at the end of the Steam announcement that there was a new all-time high number of PC concurrent players at once: 94,879. SteamDB data showed that the all-time Stardew Valley concurrent player hallmark was hit on January 3, 2021 at 9:50pm UTC, which was about 1:50pm PT/3:50pm ET.

There were actually two dates this past week where Stardew Valley concurrent player counts were extraordinarily high. On January 4, 2021, the numbers were almost that high, as SteamDB noted that 93,705 people were playing at 12:50pm PT/2:50pm ET/8:50pm UTC.

Another interesting fluctuation occurred this week. Concerned Ape did note the Stardew Valley wiki was down on January 6, 2021 at 3:23pm PT/6:23pm CT/11:23pm UTC. If you look at the SteamDB chart, you can see that reflected, as it goes from 69,179 concurrent players at 3pm PT/6pm ET/11pm UTC to 23,535 at 3:20pm PT/6:20pm ET/11:20pm UTC.

As for the Stardew Valley 1.5.2 patch notes, they mainly consist of bugs being fixed. Many of them are even spoilers involving the new content. But there are important changes regarding Junimo harvesting, split screen co-op problems, combined rings, and potential crashes.

Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. On February 26, 2021, it will celebrate its fifth birthday. The major Stardew Valley 1.5 patch is available on PCs and could appear on consoles in January 2021.
