Star Wars: Hunters is a new hero shooter published by Zynga for Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch. This guide will break down whether Star Wars: Hunters Mobile Controller Support is available at launch or not.
Does Star Wars: Hunters have Controller Support on Mobile?
Star Wars: Hunters is a free-to-play third-person shooter that lets you control Hunters from the Star Wars universe as you battle it out on planet Vaspaara. Unfortunately, controller support on mobile games is not always available at launch. A recent example of this is Wuthering Waves. However, that is not the case here, as Star Wars: Hunters does support controllers on mobile devices.
What Controllers are supported?
PlayStation 4 Dualshock 4, PlayStation 5 Dualsense, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, Xbox One, and Xbox Series controllers are supported in STAR WARS: Hunters. However, controller compatibility comes with a few caveats. Controller support is limited to gameplay matches and specific menus as of now.
Once inside the settings menu, you will be able to navigate the menu with your controller bumpers and analog stick (D-Pad as well, if that is preferred). Navigating the main menu screen is not possible at this moment, as pressing play is the only option for controllers. Android device owners choose the button icons they want to be displayed based on the controller connected. With iOS, you are only able to see the generic controller prompts.
Other alterable settings include: inverting the axis, changing input settings, and adjusting aim sensitivity. Unlike with touch controls, you are not allowed to auto-lock on to a target with controllers. While in gameplay, special abilities bind to customizable buttons instead of touch controls. You are not locked out of choosing one layout over the other as of now.
Due to not having full controller support on every portion of the game, STAR WARS: Hunters lets players switch between the options quickly. Zynga hasn’t hinted when full controller support will come to Star Wars: Hunters. However, their seamless switch between touch controls and controller support may be able to hold people over until it comes at a later date.
Star Wars: Hunters is now available on android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.
