Square Enix hosted a special Star Ocean Fes live stream event today, where there wasn’t any news on games other than the smartphone game Star Ocean: Anamnesis, but producer Shuichi Kobayashi had a little something to share at the end.
The entire two-hour talk show part from the broadcast is available to check out in the above embed, but it’s mostly about Star Ocean: Anamnesis. Star Ocean: Anamnesis Producer Shuichi, Kobayashi, who was also the producer for Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, shared the following at the end around the 2:01:00 mark:
Shuichi Kobayashi, Producer: “I understand. I understand that there’s one more piece of information that you guys want. I’ll be honest, however, it’s not something that can easily be made.
If you’re okay with it not being made by tri-Ace, then we can probably make it… but we can’t just do something like that, right?
That said, please wait a little longer. Rather, keep believing in it while playing Anamnesis. I’ll also do my best. I’ll do my best, and I’m sure all your support will be a huge strength for us. While that’s about all I can share for today, I just wanted to let it be known that we got your message, loud and clear.”
Star Ocean: Anamnesis is available on iOS and Android in Japan. The last entry from the series was Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness which released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in 2016.
