Super Smash Bros Ultimate has announced a new Bowser’s Fury Spirit Event starting April 9, 2021. The Event will last for five days until April 13, 2021, and add the five Kittens, Giga Cat Mario, and Fury Bowser from Bowser’s Fury as spirits. The Bowser’s Fury event was announced via the SSBU official Japanese Twitter.

The Kittens will feature the five kittens as a Novice Support Spirit, earned after defeating a team of multi-colored Kirby in a Spirit Battle. The Kirbys will be equipped with the Super Leaf; an item from the Mario franchise that gives users a tail and special abilities in battle. Their special skill will be the Lightweight skill.
Additionally, Giga Cat Mario will be an Advanced Attack Spirit. This spirit unlocks after a no-condition battle with the Brawler Mii Fighter, and his special skill will be the Jump Increase skill.
Finally, Fury Bowser will be an Legend Attacker Spirit. The Spirit Battle will have players face off against a metal Bowser. Worse yet, the metal Bowser will suddenly have a Final Smash available at random intervals, as well as the Curry condition enabled.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury was released on February 12, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. The bundled Bowser’s Fury in particular focused on many new and experimental mechanics.
The SSBU Bowser’s Fury Spirit Event will start from April 9, 2021 and end April 13th, 2021. Both Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury are immediately available for the Nintendo Switch.
