Square Enix Shared How FFVII Barret’s Gatling Gun Arm Works

FFVII Barret Wallace Gatling Gun arm

Square Enix shared information through the official FFVII Twitter account how Barret Wallace’s gatling gun arm functions and works. The post actually goes into a fair amount of detail, revealing that Barret takes care in upkeeping his signature weapon. Additionally, it noted that its construction is accurately constructed just like a standard gatling gun. Also, parts from the gun can be dismantled, which makes sense given how players can equip different ones throughout Final Fantasy VII and its subsequent remake.

You can read our translation of Square Enix’s FFVII Twitter post about Barret’s gatling gun arm below:

The gatling gun on Barret’s arm is a reproduction of the real thing, this includes the internal mechanisms and how ammunition is inserted. It’s even motor powered! Additionally, each part of the gatling gun can be separately dismantled. After every mission, Barret makes sure to take care of his weapon and do some home repairs.

This isn’t the first time Square Enix has shared design details from Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Previously, the developer took to Twitter to share some details about one of Aerith’s dresses that could appear in Chapter 8.

Final Fantasy VII released on the PlayStation in 1997. Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for the PlayStation 4, while FFVII Remake Intergrade is out on the PlayStation 5 and PC.
