Final Fantasy XIV originally released in September 2010. The 1.0 trailer provided a glimpse into events that would ultimately shape the narrative of the title well into its Shadowbringers expansion. It shows several prominent characters from the expansion, specifically those that appeared in the Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers Role Quests.

You can watch the Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 trailer below.

However, this isn’t the first time post-Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 promotional material has made a nod to the original release of the game. The Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers CGI cinematic also features the Warrior of Light wearing the attire (and taking on the Job) from the 1.0 trailer.

More recently, the Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker launch trailer paid homage to previous expansions. This included the Heavensward and Stormblood expansions.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker will release on December 7, 2021. Early access will begin on December 3, 2021.
