Registration for the Square Enix Creative Business Unit 3 recruitment seminar is entirely for free. However, applicants will need to meet certain credentials in order to participate, learn, and potentially be recruited by the team behind Final Fantasy XVI. Applicants must have met a required total of years of experience in their field.

Only thirty slots per opening will be available for interested applicants to register for. If the maximum amount of slots is met, a lottery will be held to determine which applicants will be able to attend the seminar. These positions include:

  • Enemy Designer
  • Level Designer
  • UI Designer
  • Environmental Artist
  • VFX Artist
  • Technical Artist
  • Technical Animator
  • Narrative Designer
  • Animator
  • Cinematic Artist

Some of these job listings line up with positions listed on a Square Enix recruitment page that went live in early October. The website mentions that previous experience is required to apply for any of the listed positions. The application deadline to apply for the Creative Business Unit 3 recruitment seminar is November 25, 2020. Additionally, a Q&A segment will be held at the end of every seminar.

Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available for PlayStation 4, PC and has been confirmed for backwards compatibility for the PlayStation 5. Final Fantasy XVI is currently in development. However, basic development and scenario production for the upcoming title is already complete.
