The anime adaptation of Spy x Family is now airing, and to promote the release, Toho Animation uploaded the full Spy x Family opening sequence to the show’s official YouTube channel [Thanks, Famitsu].
The opening sequence was animated by Wit Studio and Cloverworks, which produced Attack on Titan and Fate/Grand Order: Solomon, respectively. It features the song “Mixed Nuts” by the band Official HIGE DANdism. The songs were previewed in pre-broadcast teasers for the series.
Though Spy x Family started broadcasting on April 9, 2022, the opening was not actually shown in the first episode. Instead, it debuted alongside episode two on April 16, 2022. Meanwhile, the ending sequence has yet to appear, as the events of episode two stretched into the credits roll. The ending sequence features Gen Hoshino’s song “Kigeki” (or “Comedy”). Gen Hoshino also contributed songs to anime films like Doraemon and Saint Young Men, and to games like Death Stranding.
The official website for Spy x Family featured the opening, as well as an update to confirm more members of the series’ Japanese voice cast.
