During the Splatoon 3 Direct on August 10, 2022, Nintendo revealed more information on Splatsville, which will be the main hub in the game. Splatsville is a neighborhood “in the heart of the Splatlands” that’s the place to be if you’re an Inkling looking for things to do.
The video introduces some of the stores you can visit to stock up on gear or weapons, as well as some activities you can participate in. Nintendo has time-stamped the Direct’s archive for easy navigation.
In Splatsville in Splatoon 3, you can visit Ammo Knights to buy weapons. Ammo Knights takes Sheldon Licenses, which you can obtain when you level up in battle or when you increase the proficiency of a weapon. You can get bonuses from using more Sheldon Licenses, and if your level is too low, there are some weapons you can’t purchase.
Other shops the Direct introduces are Naut Couture, which sells head gear. Man-o’-Wardrobe is the boutique and Crush Station sells shoes. Gear is not only for aesthetics, but fashion increases stats as well.
Splatsville is more than just stores in Splatoon 3. You can use the mailbox to post pictures. Pictures will appear in the city, as well as in stages. The concession stand also provides food for buffs such as more EXP, and you can also play locally from The Shoal. There is also a Photo Mode. Aside from sharing photos online, you can also put them in your locker.
Splatoon 3 will be available worldwide on the Nintendo Switch on September 9, 2022. Other information covered during the Direct includes post-launch support and bonuses for Splatoon 2 players.
