Over Twitter, the Splatoon development team has introduced yet another weapon that one will be able to use within the game. This time, we’re looking at the “Squeaklean Alpha”. (At least, that’s what it’s called in Japanese.)
The Squeaklean Alpha is a weapon that has a smaller ink compression tank that enables a shorter charge time. It has a shorter range than other weapons but maintains its strength, which makes it sound like Splatoon’s equivalent of a shotgun, although with a longer range than your typical shotgun-class weapon.
Also, the reason behind the name is that it looks like a bottle of detergent, which you can see below.
