Splatoon 3 Friends Notifications Issues Found

Splatoon 3 Squad

In a tweet posted on March 3, 2023 Nintendo of Europe announced that the version 3.00 update of Splatoon 3 caused issues with Friend Notifications. Due to this bug, the feature is currently suspended until the team resolves the problem. Normally, when you would start a match, people would be sent a Friend Notification allowing you to join games. Nintendo suggested using your Friend List to play with others online for the time being.

Splatoon 3 is the latest game in the multiplayer shooter series that released in September 2022. The game’s primary mode pits teams of players against each other in contests in which they must cover more of the stage with ink than their opponents to win. You can also team up with friends for the co-op Salmon Run experience or take part in the Return of the Mammalians single-player campaign.

Splatoon 3 is one of the best-selling Switch games, having sold almost 8 million copies since launch. It will also be getting new content in 2023 in the form of two DLC packs. The first of them allows players to visit Inkopolis, the urban setting from the original Splatoon. It is immediately available. The second will be a new single-player story called Side Order.

You can play Splatoon 3 now on the Switch, and the DLC expansion pass is available to purchase.
