Spin Six Spinning Onto DSiWare

During the days of the Gameboy Advance, Nintendo released a Japan-only puzzle game, developed by Creatures Inc., titled Nonono Puzzle Chai-Rian.

Nonono Puzzle Chai-Rian revolved around a bunch of aliens getting sucked into a blackhole and had three different kinds of puzzle modes. The most complex of these modes, titled Kuru Pachi 6, was recently adapted into a DSiWare game by developer Zener Works, and published by Creatures Inc. as Kuru Kuru Action: Kuru Pachi 6.

The game takes place on a grid consisting of numbered blocks from 3-6. You can slide blocks horizontally and vertically, to line up like-numbered blocks. Lining up three 3s turns them all into three 4s. Lining up four 4s turns them into four 5s. Lining up five 5s turns them into 6s. And lining up six 6s makes them disappear.

The OFLC recently rated something called “Spin Six” with a G, with Creatures Inc. listed as the publisher. It sounds like it could be the same game, since “Kurukuru” refers to spinning. The original costs 500 DS points on Japanese DSiWare service.
