Spice & Wolf Author’s Visual Novel Is Out On Steam Early Access

Episode 1 of World End Economica, a visual novel by the author of Spice & Wolf, Isuna Hasekura, is now available via Steam Early Access in English.  The game normally costs $12.99, but it’s available at a discounted rate of $9.74 until May 12th.

Here’s a note from the development team on the Steam page:

We are working on porting the game to a new engine to support OSX and Linux as well as adding additional languages. Also Steam integration is buggy however once the new engine is done it should be fine. Once new engine is done we consider the game complete for episode 01 and will work on episode 02 and episode 03.

When we swap to the new engine, save progress will be lost.

World End Economica has been brought to Steam with the help of Sekai Project, a team that originally started out as a fan translation group and is now helping bring greater exposure to Japanese indie games. The same team also recently released the Narcissu visual novels via Early Access, and both of those can be played for free.
