Sony’s Big in Japan Sale Is Anime Ballin’ on a Budget

big in japan sale april 2020

Once again, it’s time for anime-inspired games to come to the people for affordable prices. Sony is launching yet another Big in Japan sale starting April 24, 2020. If you didn’t make it into the Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxiboost beta, you can still occupy yourself this weekend with budget-friendly Japanese video games. This sale runs until May 8, 2020, and provides deals up to 50% off on anime games, Japanese RPGs, visual novels, and… Korean MMO Black Desert Online?

Even if you aren’t into anime, there are some great games in here. Sony’s really pushing the inclusion of Devil May Cry 5Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, and One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. Other highlights include several other Final Fantasy titles, DigimonDark Souls, and Resident Evil. I’m personally eyeing that .Hack//G.U. Last Recode collection, because that’s serious bang versus buck value.

It’s worth noting that the sale isn’t live just yet at the time of this writing, and the PlayStation Blog post announcing the sale for North America and Europe doesn’t include a full list of games. There could be even more great deals dropping once the Big in Japan April 2020 sale goes live on the PlayStation Store.

And if Japanese games aren’t really your thing, you can check out the Spring Sale, which is still going on through April 28, 2020.

To get on his good side, say nice things about Dragon Quest and Musou. Never mention the Devil May Cry reboot in his presence. Backed Bloodstained on Kickstarter but all his opinions on it are correct regardless.
