Next week, the 3DS Virtual Console will see Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but it isn’t the game you’re likely thinking of.
 
This is the Game Gear version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, not the more widely-recognized Sega Genesis version.

 

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released on the Nintendo eShop for 300 yen on October 31st along with Ninja JaJaMaru-kun – the game that inspired Robot Ninja Haggle Man in Retro Game Challenge.
