Sonic Generations is meant to celebrate Sonic’s 20th anniversary, Sega are putting a special collector’s edition together for the game, exclusively for Europe. Here’s an image of the package:
The collector’s edition will include a game, a statue featuring Classic and Modern Sonic, an individually numbered gold ring, a 20 Year of Sonic Art book, a History of Sonic: Birth of an Icon documentary, and a soundtrack. Finally, there will also be bonus DLC.
The art book will contain sketches and images from the past 20 years of Sonic history that Sega say have never been seen before. Meanwhile, the documentary will contain a collection of interviews and footage charting Sonic’s life from his creation to his days of fame.
The collector’s edition package will come in lenticular packaging. Sonic Generations is being released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in November. A separate version of the game will be released for the Nintendo 3DS as well.
