Sega announced that a new free Birthday Bash free DLC update will come to Sonic Frontiers on June 23, 2023 to coincide with the birthday of Sonic the Hedgehog3. The update includes new content, such as birthday themed Kocos and accessories for Sonic, and it was made available after the Sonic Central presentation ended.
Some of the new content included in this new free DLC include new challenges and moves for Sonic, new collectable Koco, and a New Game+ mode. Additionally, we can equip Sonic with a birthday hat, sunglasses, and a bowtie, as well as apply a birthday filter to the UI to celebrate alongside him.
There’s also a dedicated trailer showing off all of the new things people will see in-game after getting the add-on.

Sega’s shared free DLC like this before for the game. For example, during the 2022 holiday season, a new costume appeared. It gave Sonic a Holiday Cheer Santa suit to wear.
Sonic Frontiers is immediately available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch. The Birthday Bash free DLC update will come to Sonic Frontiers after the Sonic Central presentation.
