Someone wants Lego Reservoir Dogs, Traveller’s Tales is interested in Lego City

I saw Lego Batman yesterday which didn’t pull any surprises. Using the Wii remote to point and aim the batarang was neat, but Lego Batman is really an extension of the existing Lego games with the Batman license. Like Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman won’t have any online play. Richard Earl explained the reason for the omission is because “hardly anyone uses it.” There are plans for downloadable content for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but not the Wii.

I asked Earl if Traveller's Tales, which was recently purchased by Warner Brothers, has any plans to make games for an adult audience. Warner Brothers has a huge library of franchises they could give to Traveller's Tales, but Earl promptly answered “No, not really.” His plan is to continue to make family games, but passionate Traveller's Tales fans always send ideas to make Lego Something. Earl mentioned Lego Reservoir Dogs was one idea and “the most left fielded idea was Lego Death Wish.” If Earl had it his way he would make Lego City, a Lego game based on the early set of Legos with cars and simple towns.

Right now Earl is “very, very, excited” about Sony’s PlayStation 2 Lego Batman bundle for North America.
