SMT V’s Flauros and Rakshasa Will be Heavy Hitters in Battle

Today’s daily demon digest for SMT V looks at Flauros and Rakshasa, which are two demons that have made multiple appearances in past Shin Megami Tensei and Persona works. Whereas Flauros hails from the Ars Goetia, Rakshasa is a figure from Hindu and Buddhist mythology.

In SMT V, Flauros has a very aggressive skill kit. Aside from powerful physical attacks, it can also deal Fire damage with Agidyne. This tracks with the mythological Flauros’s command over fire. The video concludes with Flauros yelling about how satisfied it feels to the Nahobino while the two of them stand in a blazing city.

Rakshasa will appear as a Jaki in SMT V. Similar to Flauros, Rakshasa specializes in physical attacks but it can also support the party. In the video, it uses Taunt to take the heat off of squishier allies, as well as uses Tarukaja to increase its attack. At the end of the video, Rakshasa asks why the Nahobino’s hair is so long and the Nahobino replies that he hasn’t had time to go to the barber. Rakshasa wonders if that’s because the Nahobino is busy with work.

Shin Megami Tensei V will come out on the Nintendo Switch in Japan on November 11 and worldwide on November 12, 2021.
