While no Atlus updates about a worldwide SMT III Nocturne HD Remaster appeared recently, the ESRB offered one. It rated the RPG. That rating should look familiar too, as it is once again tagged with a “Mature.” [Thanks, Persona Central!]
There aren’t any spoilers in the ESRB rating for SMT III Nocturne HD Remaster. It confirmed the general transformation of the avatar and Tokyo itself. It brought up some of the graphic violence. It also essentially confirmed that Mara will return as a demon again, as the description goes over the familiar sometimes-friend/sometimes-foe. As for the descriptors, it cited blood, partial nudity, sexual themes, strong language, and violence.
This means the SMT III Nocturne ESRB rating will remain unchanged. Back when it showed up on the PS2 (and as a PS2 Classic for the PS3), its rating was Mature. Back then, it also ended up tagged for its blood, intense violence, language, and sexual themes.
Atlus announced SMT III Nocturne HD Remaster back in July 2020. Since then, it debuted in Japan. There is even Dante from the Devil May Cry series paid DLC. Since then, multiple updates appeared in Japan, but Atlus hasn’t offered a worldwide release date.
SMT III Nocturne HD Remaster will come to the Nintendo Switch and PS4 worldwide in Spring 2021. It is immediately available in Japan.
