A Skullgirls character who has been a part of the canon for years and was even a potential Indiegogo add-on, is finally going to join the fighting game. Annie of the Stars will finally have her moment. While she’s already been a prominent part, especially in Beowulf’s storyline, Hidden Variable confirmed that she’ll join Skullgirls Mobile in the 4.4 update “within the next couple of months.” After that, Skullgirls Annie DLC will be released for 2nd Encore in 2021.

Hidden Variable said that Lab Zero and Autumn are both working on Annie, and that the character will appear alongside a Meridian Studios Sound Stage 15 level and “The Stars and Stage are Set!” song from Vincent Diamante. It also mentioned her mobile debut will be similar to Fukua’s.

Here’s the first Skullgirls Annie trailer. You can watch her beat up Peacock, Painwheel, Ms. Fortune, Filia, Valentine, Eliza, and Squigly.

And here’s “The Stars and Stage are Set!”

This is actually Annie’s second recent reappearance. In addition to Annie of the Stars playable debut, she showed up in Indivisible.

Skullgirls Mobile is available for Android and Apple iOS devices, while Skullgirls 2nd Encore is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC.
