PlayStation 2 horror title, Siren, is headed to the PlayStation Network for PS3 next week. The game will be made available on Tuesday.Takafumi Fujisawa, former Executive Producer and VP of Sony’s Japan Studio, reminisces about the game on the PlayStation blog.

“We were on a mission to formulate a form of fear or horror that would resonate with an audience regardless of their cultural background, and to deliver that from a very intentionally Japanese perspective,” Fujisawa recalls.

Here’s a neat tidbit in case you missed out on it before. The Siren series was created by Keiichiro Toyama, who originally created Silent Hill for Konami. Following his work on the Siren games, Toyama most recently directed Gravity Rush for the PlayStation Vita, which he says was influenced by Crackdown.
