Singaporean Studios Make A Free Game To Support Local Gaming Convention

Recommended Videos

A number of Singapore-based studios teamed up recently to create a game in support of the country’s gaming convention GameStart 2015 (thanks IndieGames).

In on it is Seow Zong Hui (creator of Street Fighter X Mega Man), Witching Hour Studios (currently developing Masquerada: Songs and Shadows), Daylight Studios (creator of Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!), and others.

The game is called GameStart 2015 Official Game and is a sidescrolling action-platformer in which you play GameStart’s resident gamer girl Alyse as she tracks down a mysterious figure who has been sabotaging games.

As you progress, you can unlock new cameo characters from the games of the studios who made GameStart 2015 Official Game. Also included is a cameo from Street Fighter pro player Xian.

GameStart 2015 actually happened in November but it’s worth playing the game as it has challenge and pixel art that recalls games of its style from the ‘80s and ‘90s. You can download it for free on the App Store and Google Play.
