When we spoke to Shovel Knight developers Yacht Club Games earlier in the year, they told us that they were looking into supporting console-specific features for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of the game. This week, they announced what those will be.

 

Shovel Knight will support Miiverse, Yacht Club have confirmed. Additionally, the Nintendo 3DS version of the game will support StreetPass. Finally, as previously stated, the 3DS version will also support stereoscopic 3D visuals.

 

At the moment, Yacht Club are in the midst of designing the Polar Knight boss’s stage, and the final stages of the game. Following this, they will move on to revising and polishing the entire game.

 

Shovel Knight is in development for PC, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
