Shovel Knight, the Mega Man-inspired platformer by Yacht Club Games, has seen a bit of a delay, the developer has announced.

Originally planned for release in 2013, the game will now be available sometime in early 2014, Yacht Club revealed via their Twitter account. (Via: Polygon) The game is in development for PC, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

Shovel Knight has you playing as the Shovel Knight character himself, as he travels across multiple stages and does battle against eight “boss knights” inspired by the concept of the Robot Masters from Mega Man.
