Another event means another series of banners. Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis loves to tempt players into using up their Blue Crystals. As such, you may not want to spend said Blue Crystals and pull on the Lucia and Red XIII Banner in FFVII Ever Crisis. Let’s look at it.
Is it worth pulling on the Lucia and Red XIII Banner in FFVII Ever Crisis?
The answer is no. Unfortunately, the Attire for Red XIII does not have great synergy with his weapons. Plus with the introduction of Yuffie, he takes a backseat to her. This is largely because Yuffie’s weapons all come attached with major buffs or debuffs, whereas Red XIII’s do not. Additionally, he is a character put in the position of being a middle-man, as his healing, damage, and debuff potential aren’t as high as characters who are purely dedicated for that role. His weapon is also conditional when debuffing an enemy’s MDEF, as he needs to be above 50% HP for it to take effect.
Keep in mind that Yuffie’s weapons will always debuff enemies regardless of her own HP values. Certain weapons for her also involve Elemental debuffs, but include more general debuffs to MDEF or PATK as well. So Red XIII’s weapon isn’t worth the investment.
Regarding Lucia, her weapon is not worth rolling on either. While it does Lightning damage and reduces the MDEF of an enemy, outside of uses for specific Event Bosses, you don’t need it. She gets no Attire from this banner, and currently she has no Attire that plays into her strengths as a character that can Silence enemies.
I would say only roll on this banner if you want to receive more rewards from its accompanying event. Other than that, you can save your Blue Crystals, which are becoming harder and harder to obtain as the game goes on, for more valuable Attires. You can get these weapons even if they’re off banner in the General Ticket gacha or future banners.
