Where to find Oskar Fevras in BG3 – location

First and foremost, you need to make sure to locate Oskar Fevras in BG3 while in Act 1 or 2. You can find him while you still have access to the Wilderness and the location of Waukeen’s Rest. Underneath Waukeen’s Rest is a hidden basement known as the Zhentarim Hideout. You need to get the password for this place or persuade the guard to get access.

You’ll be able to find Oskar in the basement here, captive as a slave of the bandit group. This will give you a side quest to free the artist, otherwise known as Oskar. That said, there are two main ways to deal with him: buy him as a slave or release him. So you may be wondering which option to choose.

Should You Buy or Release Oskar Fevras in BG3?

The first option the bandits give the player is to buy Oskar as a slave. This is a possible solution for this quest, but it will cost the player some gold. Furthermore, you need to free Oskar once he is your slave. He will then ask you for more gold to make it back to Baldur’s Gate. As such, this is not the preferred way to handle this since it will cost a bit of gold pretty early in the massive game. That said, it will get the job done.

Instead, our preferred option is to persuade Brem, the guard, to let Oskar Fevras go free in BG3. If you do this, you will release him without spending a single piece of gold. Better yet, he will run off to the city, and you will be able to visit him and his wife at Lady Jannath’s Estate in the Lower City of Baldur’s Gate in Act 3 to continue his storyline.
