Mika and the Witch’s Mountain is an adorable game that gives out serious Kiki’s Delivery Service and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker vibes. Mika finds herself on the island of Mont Gaun and begins helping out the locals with their deliveries to earn money for a new broom. At several points in the game, you are presented with the option to give away your items. We have completed Mika and the Witch’s Mountain twice to give the definitive answer on whether or not you should give away your apprentice supplies.
When do you give away your items in Mika and the Witch’s Mountain
You will be given a prompt to give away your apprentice supplies at four different times during the game. The first one is at the very end of day 2, where you can share your chocolate bar with Allegra.
The other three occur during day 3. After you have delivered the pendulum to Vanny, you can lend her your Magic Book to aid with her research. The next one occurs when you have delivered Kiala the violin, where you can give her the Plastic Skull Amulet. The last one happens right at the end of day 3. Allegra will ask you to deliver a party invitation to Andros, and you will be given the dilemma of whether or not to give him your Incantation Tempera Paints to help him become inspired by art once again.
Should Mika Give Away Her Items in Mika and the Witch’s Mountain
If you keep the items, you will get bad delivery scores. However, the primary way it impacts the story is you will get different dialogue exchanges with the witch Olagari at the end of the game. I wouldn’t say the dialogue changes impact the ending as the same outcome happens, but the overall vibe is far more wholesome if you give away your items. So, the final verdict is yes. We recommend giving away your items, but it’s not too detrimental if you keep them, either.
Mika and the Witch’s Mountain is now available on Nintendo Switch and PC.
