Nippon Ichi Software has released two new trailers for their third-person shooter game Shoujo Jigoku no Doku Musume. One focuses on gameplay, while the other offers a general worldview for the game.

The battle system will revolve around efficient use of the Poison Purification Mode in order to purify things. Players will gather up poison from marshes around the stage, then shoot it back at enemies in the Shooting Mode as the protagonist. As the protagonist and Poison Maiden share a body, they’ll need to take turns using it in order to defeat the Delusional Beings who all just want to take over the protagonist’s human body.
However, just defeating enemies and cleaning up poison isn’t enough. There are hints scattered through the level related to each human girl’s personal issues, which have caused the creation of their Maiden Hells. Finding these will be crucial to beating the stage in order to earn stickers and go to Heaven. Five stickers are needed to pass to Heaven. You’ll need to clear five Maiden Hells, with other Poison Maidens helping out or getting in the way in the process.

Shoujo Jigoku no Doku Musume will come to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on June 25, 2020. A third Poison Maiden was introduced in our last report here.
