Following Osamu Tezuka’s passing, 75 handwritten notebooks were discovered at his home in Tokyo in 1993 and 1994. These were discovered to contain early story concepts, drafts, and sketches for a variety of Tezuka’s works, such as Jungle Emperor, Metropolis, Nextworld, and other stories between 1948 to 1959.

10 of these 75 notebooks will be published in Shogakukan Creative’s December publication on December 24th in Japan, as reported by Anime News Network. This will be the first time Tezuka’s drafts have been made available to the public in such large numbers.
