With the latest Pokemon Masters update, players can now begin their hunt for shiny Pokemon through the new Egg Incubator feature. While not all Pokemon hatched through this system have a chance of being shiny, right now players can begin their quest to obtain a shiny Tauros. Other Pokemon that can hatch through eggs include male Zubat, male Rattata, female Nidoran, female Bellsprout, and female Meowth. Other gendered variants are scheduled to appear in the future.
In addition to this, Pokemon hatched through eggs are compatible Sync Pair Pokemon to the player character’s trainer. So you will be able to use these Pokemon in combat. This means players who do hatch a shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Masters will be able to show their shiny off in co-op battles. Additionally, every Pokemon hatched from an egg will have different passive skills, so you may need to hatch several of these Pokemon to obtain the passive of your choice.
Pokemon that are hatched from eggs will be sent to Day Care. From there, you can pick them up and assign them as your Sync Pair partner. This can be accessed through the egg icon on the lower left hand corner of the screen once you update your app. Items to speed up incubation period have also been added to the shop, but cost gems. If you no longer want to keep Pokemon you’ve hatched, you can donate them to Professor Bellis’ in exchange for Research Tickets. These can be redeemed for various items in the Exchange Items menu.
In regards to using incubators, once an egg has begun to incubate, players will need to wait a specified amount of time before they can hatch. You will be told how long it will take for an egg to hatch once it has been placed in the incubator. Players are given one incubator to start, and two extra incubators can be bought with gems–Pokemon Masters‘ prized in-game currency.
You’re probably wondering how you can obtain eggs. All you need to do is to participate in Training Event battles. The eggs will drop at random, so you will need to grind these battles in order to receive an egg.
Pokemon Masters is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
