However, previous trailers and gameplay videos had already disclosed most of the details revealed. This includes the return of the Press Turn System and Demon Negotiations. These features will return in Shin Megami Tensei V and were detailed during previous gameplay videos, which revealed how they will function in real time within the game.

Additionally, Demon Fusion will return as one of the larger aspects of Shin Megami Tensei V. Players can fuse demons they have obtained to create more powerful or different elemental-aligned demons. Players can consult with Sophia, a new non-player character, to fuse their demons. A level up system is available in the game as well. However, this will feature new mechanics that will be disclosed in the future.

And lastly, players will have a modicum of choice which will affect the ending they will receive in Shin Megami Tensei V. However, no further information about the gravity of the choices the player will make has yet to be revealed.

Shin Megami Tensei V will come to the Nintendo Switch in Japan on November 11, 2021 and worldwide on November 12, 2021. Pre-orders for the collector’s edition are currently available.
