Shenmue III has gotten its first Kickstarter update of 2019, and it talks about backer survey responses and PS4 regions. The development team also shared a neat GIF of Ryo and Shenhua celebrating the new year.
Originally, the game’s cutoff date for backer survey responses was September 30, but in order to accommodate backers who had to make changes after that date, the survey deadline has been extended to January 6, 2019, this Sunday. After this date, survey response updates will no longer be accepted.
As for choosing your PS4 region, the team shared this note:
Your PS4 region will be decided with your “Country” selection. Please note, if the disc region differs from PS4 system region, the unit itself, PlayStation™Network online services or DLC may not function properly.
Shenmue III will be released on August 27, 2019 on the PlayStation 4 and PC. Previously, it was confirmed that Ryo’s English voice actor, Corey Marshall, was recording lines for the game, which you can check out here.
