Shenhe Meets Chongyun in Her Genshin Impact Demo Video

Genshin Impact Shenhe

miHoYo released a video demonstrating Shenhe in combat ahead of her debut in Genshin Impact. Not only does her demo show off her battle animations, but it also lets us see how she interacts with her fellow exorcist, Chongyun. The character demo is almost three minutes long and you can watch it on the official Genshin Impact YouTube channels.

It starts with Chongyun in pursuit of an Abyss Mage but when he finds himself outnumbered, Shenhe comes to his rescue with her Talisman Spirit. She makes quick work of the Abyss Mage and Lawachurl. As Shenhe’s kit makes her more suited for a support role, one might have to raise her in a specific way to re-enact this demo. After she defeats the monsters and introduces herself to Chongyun, he realizes something upon hearing her name.

Shenhe is the new 5-star character who will appear when Genshin Impact 2.4 goes live on January 5, 2022. On the same banner is Yun Jin, another new character. Both Shenhe and Yun Jin are support-oriented polearm users from Liyue. In late 2021, miHoYo released a character teaser for Shenhe, which focused more on Shenhe’s lore. She has to live with Cloud Retainer and away from humans due to her presence causing calamity to those around her.

Genshin Impact is readily available on PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. The 2.4 update will go live on January 5, 2022.
