When Square Enix discussed the 6.4 update for Final Fantasy XIV, it also noted new mounts would appear. Now one of them is available. Players who head to the Mog Station store can pick up a new account-wide one. The Shadow Wolf mount is now live in Final Fantasy XIV.
$24 gets people a Shadow Wolf Whistle for the mount in Final Fantasy XIV. Using it in the game summons the creature to ride. As long as you reached the point in the game where you can get and summon a Chocobo mount, you can use it. The animations for it will look different depending on whether you are riding it on the ground or while flying through the air.

There’s also a video which shows how it looks in-action. It begins by showing the Shadow Wolf running through Final Fantasy XIV. then, it pauses for a bit so someone can see it from different angles. After that, it shows the flying animations. It closes things out by showing characters from different races riding one, so people can get a better sense of scale.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC.
