The Sega 60th anniversary isn’t going to only involve concerts, icons, merchandise, and sales. There will also be limited time releases of small games. So far, the lineup includes Streets of Kamurocho, Golden Axed: A Canceled Prototype, Armor of Heroes, and Endless Zone. All four will be free-to-play and are already appearing on the celebratory Steam page.

Each day, people will have a chance to pick up a different game. Things start on October 15, 2020 with Armor of Heroes. This is a The Eccentric Ape take on the Company of Heroes series. Up to four people can hop into virtual tanks and play together or against the computer in Annihilation, Carnage, Crazy Tanks, Danger Zone, King of the Hill, Last Man Standing, Skirmish, and Standoff modes.

It will be followed by Endless Zone on October 16, 2020. This is another Eccentric Ape game, only this time we have a mashup of two Sega titles. It takes Fantasy Zone’s sort of gameplay and adds the Endless series’ Opbot. Opbot is in this other universe and has to fight and find a way out.

On October 17, 2020, people will be able to grab Empty Clip Studios and Sega’s Streets of Kamurocho. This is essentially a Streets of Rage 2 game, only it takes place in Kamurocho and offers people Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima as playable characters.

The final game will be Golden Axed: A Canceled Prototype. This would have been a 2.5D Sega Studios Australia reboot for the series, but the developer closed and the project was canceled. Eccentric Ape and Sega are sharing the one-level, “vertical slice” prototype on October 18, 2020.

Armor of Heroes, Endless Zone, Golden Axed: A Canceled Prototype, and Streets of Kamurocho will all launch on PCs this month. After they do, they will be available to download until October 19, 2020.
