See What Unsung Story’s First Three Missions Look Like

Back in 2014, Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics creator Yasumi Matsuno headed to Kickstarter to raise $600,000 for a new strategy-RPG. It ended up earning $660,126 and having a tentative July 2015 release date, but things didn’t work out. While there have been regular updates as of late, there’s still no news about when the game will be released. However, the June 2020 update included footage of the first playable livestream. This Unsung Story gameplay footage is actually rather extensive and has Little Orbit CEO Matt Scott playing and talking about the game. In short, people can see the first three missions and how its tactical gameplay and characters will work.

Unsung Story first ran into trouble in February 2016. That’s when some key staff members left and the game was put on hold. Over a year later, work transferred over to Little Orbit, who took over as developer. That same year, the platforms it will be heading to also changed, as the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One were added in addition to the PC version. (The Kickstarter originally did have Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita versions as unreached stretch goals.)

Unsung Story is in development for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
