See How The Watchers From Horizon Zero Dawn Were Recreated For E3

The Watchers in Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn are mechanical creatures that eerily keep their eye on all that’s going on around them. Hollywood design studio Spectral Motion recreated a Watcher through an elaborate 13-foot-long suit worn by an actor. The Watcher lurked around the PlayStation booth at E3 this year, and is also scheduled to make an appearance at PAX West.

In the following video, the designers and fabricators at Spectral Motion give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how they made a Watcher complete with a working camera and light up sensors similar to those seen in the game.

Horizon Zero Dawn is expected to release exclusively on PlayStation 4 on February 28, 2017.
