As part of WonHobby G 2023 Autumn figure announcements, Good Smile Company revealed Rebuild of Evangelion Misato Katsuragi and Gendo Ikari Nendoroids. Of the two, Misato is further along in development.
First, here’s the Misato Nendoroid. She appears more as she does in Evangelion 1.0 and 2.0, rather than in the third and fourth movies. She also will come with a Pen Pen figure when released. The painted prototype appeared at the event.
Next, here’s the Gendo Rebuild of Evangelion Nendoroid, with the figure again appearing to be based on the earlier movies. This item isn’t as far along, as it only appeared as an unpainted prototype at the event. He appears in his normal suit and with his glasses on. No additional face plates or accessories were shown.
Good Smile Company’s released many Evangelion Nendoroids over the years, with the figures also often rereleased. For example, the ones of Asuka and Rei in their school uniforms are returning in 2024. There were also Rebuild of Evangelion ones of characters like Shinji, Kaoru, and Asuka.
The Gendo Ikari and Misato Katsuragi Evangelion Nendoroids are in development. There’s no release window for either one of the figures. The Rebuild of Evangelion movies are streaming on Amazon, while the anime series is available on Netflix.
