On April 7, 2016, a Survival Mode will be coming to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s Metal Gear Online. In it, six players go through one match after another against each other, with those getting a win streak of five or more matches earning special rewards. To help people understand how this will work in-game, Konami has released a one minute video that goes through the process of setting up a match, then claiming a reward for winning.

People who didn’t purchase Metal Gear Online’s Cloaked in Silence expansion will be limited in their Survival Mode efforts. They’ll only be able to play it ten times a week. Though, playing it will allow access to the Azure Mountain, Coral Complex, and Rust Palace maps they wouldn’t have otherwise. People who did purchase the $3.99 add-on will have unlimited access to Survival Mode.

Konami also released details on Close Quarters Combat parameters for Metal Gear Online character classes. It goes over how many seconds are required for each sort of action in the game.
