See How Sound Effects Are Recorded For Mortal Kombat X Fatalities

Recommended Videos

On their Mortal Kombat X livestream, NetherRealm Studios invited members of the game’s sound team—including Dan “Toasty” Forden—to talk about how sound effects are recorded for the Mortal Kombat series.

Starting at the 19:30 mark of the recording, one gets a glimpse of the Fatality sound recording process, which is filled with all sorts of uncomfortable noises. Then, we get a look at new character Erron Black and his variations. Liu Kang follows after that, with his variations being demonstrated as well.

Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14th.
