Second Wave of Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Weapon Videos Is Out

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak - Insect Glaive

The second wave of Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak weapon videos has appeared on the franchise’s YouTube channel. Capcom has published new videos featuring the Great Sword, Hammer, and Insect Glaive.

The Great Sword will feature a new Strongarm Stance where the Hunter uses Ironsilk to fend off monster attacks temporarily. This move will have the same input as Hunting Edge. Great Sword users will also be able to use Switch Skill Swap to alternate between Charged and Surge Slash Combo.

The Hammer will have Impact Burst as an alternative Silkbind Attack to Impact Crater. The weapon’s charged attacks will gain an additional shockwave that contributes to flinching enemy monsters. It will also have Spinning Bludgeon: Charge as a Switch Skill alternative to the Silkbind version.

Insect Glaive users will receive a new alternative for their Kinsect controls in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. Instead of recalling the companion, they can throw it to launch an Awakened Kinsect Attack. Another Switch Skill Swap option will allow them to trade the Jumping Advancing Slash with a version that attaches the Kinsect onto the weapon.

Capcom started publishing individual weapon videos for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak on May 16, 2022. Sword & Shield, Switch Axe, and Heavy Bowgun were the first three weapons shown, with their videos released on that day. The company will eventually publish videos for all fourteen weapon types in the game.

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak will release for Nintendo Switch and PC on June 30, 2022.
