Supergiant Games has listed some improvements and changes for the second patch for the Hades II early access. The full list is available on the game’s Steam page.
There are a lot of changes and optimizations to the game, with player feedback likely leading to them. Some of the changes include encountering up to one additional Olympian every night, which is a change that makes the game more similar to the original one. Annoyances such as a short invulnerability duration after Death Defiance and high Magick requirement for Lunar Ray are now gone. Most of these are fixes to the casting time, Magick spend, and such for skills that you can use in game.
Hades II is the widely anticipated sequel to Hades. It came out for early access 2024 and is only available for the Windows PC at the moment. This time, you play as Melinoe, who is the Princess of the Underworld and the sister of Zagreus, who was the protagonist of the first game. Like in the first game, you control Melinoe in a roguelike dungeon crawler. Each run will offer different power-ups and such. Melinoe’s goal is to defeat Chronos, who is the god of time.
Hades II is available on the Windows PC in early access. It will also appear on other platforms for the final release, the date of which is still unannounced.
