Now that Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition is available on multiple platforms again, new details about the game and its development have come out. Namely, comic creator Bryan Lee O’Malley took to Twitter to confirm some Scott Pilgrim DLC that never made it into the full game. Namely, there was once a chance of The Clash at Demonhead band members being playable in-game. [Thanks, NintendoLife!]
Here’s O’Malley’s reveal came up when someone asked about Ubisoft’s new trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition including sprites for Gideon Graves and Lynette Guycott. That’s when the creator said that Envy Adams, the band’s singer, bassist Todd Ingram, and drummer Lynette all were being considered at one point in development.
The answer to your question is no. There’s nothing new in the rerelease. ORIGINALLY (in 2009) we had talked about doing a Montreal DLC with playable clash at demonhead (envy, Todd, lynette). ultimately canceled and never realized because of budget cuts https://t.co/glT9awy9Br

In other news regarding the game, some people have reported an issue accessing a former Scott Pilgrim DLC character in the rerelease. As pointed out by The Great Clement on Twitter, Knives Chau might not unlock unless people create a free Ubisoft account and log in. (I did not experience this issue in the PS4 version.)
